More pictures of swimming at Timberline Lodge

I will get this blog stuff down sooner or later, I hadn't realized that everything I post would go in backward order, so my postings don't make much sense starting at the top! Here we are swimming and having snowball fights in the pool.

Swimming at Timberline Lodge

Our favorite part of Timberline Lodge was the pool! There is an outdoor pool that is heated and open year round. We were able to swim and have snowball fights at the same time. It was a lot of fun. The kids had contests to see who could sit in the snow the longest before they had to jump back in the water to warm up.

Weekend at Mt. Hood

We spent a couple of days at Mt. Hood's Timberline Lodge. It was a terrific vacation! Our room had five sets of bunk beds, and we enjoyed playing Rook and Apples to Apples together.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Elizabeth and Rachel were able to be in the children's choir in our stake play. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Both of the girls LOVE to sing. They were in heaven! The costumes and sets were very well done, and I think that everyone really enjoyed the play. The man who played Pharoah used to be our primary chorister, and really hammed it up. It was a lot of fun.

Catching up!

Tricia convinced me that I need to take the time to create a site for my family, so here is goes. I enjoy seeing other sites, but this is beyond my comfort level!

We had a fun Halloween and the kids dressed up as the Scooby Doo Gang! Unfortunately we were a little bit too enthusiastic about dressing up, and dyed Rebekah's hair red, Michael's bleach blonde, and Elizabeth dark brown. The problem is, I have never used hair dye before, and didn't realize IT DOESN"T COME OUT EASILY! I guess that should be common knowledge, but I thought it would be easy enough to dye back after a month or so, and a fun change in the meantime. WRONG! Rebekah's hair is now strawberry blonde, which she is okay with, but we have used many different treatments in the past few months to try to reverse the color. Lesson learned, no permanant hair dye! They were really cute though, and Josh won second prize in his school for his costume as Shaggy. Paul glued actual hair to his chin to create his goatee. It was really fun.
